Entries open at least 2 weeks in advance – check Flyer page for links – entries close the Thursday morning prior to the race weekend. May draw out by Thursday noon and avoid any penalty. Draws will be posted Friday morning.
Saturday – Exhibitions 10:00, Open 1:00, Youth, Peewees, Poles to follow
Sunday – Exhibition 9:30, Open 11:00 AM, Youth Peewees to follow
Unless otherwise stated, BBR rules and payout apply.
80% of Entry fee and 100% of added money is paid out.
1/2 split - knocked over barrel is a no time
The same horse cannot run twice unless by immediate family member.
If a horse falls, no rerun.
Contestant needs to be ready to run – there will be a 3 call and out. We will not come back to you.
Points are kept for riders that have paid the prize fee. Awards are given at the end of the series.
1. 16 years of age & younger as of 1st of year – if you start out in this division, you may finish in this division
2. Full second split
3. Youth may carry their time from the open but must designate before they make their first run.
4. Points are kept for all youth who paid the prize fee for the winter series. Awards are presented at the last races of the series (end of March)
8 & under as of first of year – if you are started out in this division, you may finish in this division. Can only enter peewees OR youth - not both.
Points are awarded as follows: Each contestant will earn 5 base points in the division they place in PLUS bonus points based on how they place and according to how many runners. If one person places more than once in a division, they receive the 5 base points for each placing. but only the bonus points for the highest placing in that division. Runs with penalties will not receive any points.
BONUS POINTS FOR EACH DIVISION:
1-50 runners = 10 pts for first, 9 for 2nd, etc.
50-100 runners - 15 pts for 1st, 14 for 2nd, etc.
100-150 - 20 pts for 1st, etc.
150-200- 25 Pts for 1st, etc.
For example - a person winning the 1D with 90 runners will receive 5 base points plus their bonus points of 15 = 20 points. If this person also places in the 1D on an additional horse, they will only receive 5 additional base points. POINTS are on rider only.
