In addition, contestants will earn 5 base awards points

in the division they place in plus bonus awards points based

on how they place. If one person places more than once in a division,

they receive the 5 base points. 

 (i.e. Someone placing 1st and 2nd in the same division at a race with a pot of $500-$1000 will receive 5 base points and 15 bonus points for the 1st place horse and 5 base points for the 2nd place horse for a total of 25 points in that division.)

In the novice class, points are kept for horse

and rider so all bonus points are awarded.

Runs with penalties will not receive any points.
